We live as long as we fly

A night raid to the train graveyard

When it started getting dark, I had already decided to bail from the baths, but somehow lingered, and in the end, we all left together. Judging by the technicians setting up audio equipment, visitors were in for an evening concert. The baths even have night sessions with a disco, so you can't surprise us with just some evening music!

Interestingly, at the exit from the locker room, there's a machine for wringing out clothes. You throw in your swim trunks, press and hold the lid, and it buzzes. A dozen seconds and it's done. Efficient!

We took a Bolt to our neighborhood, where the poor cabbie was forced to circle the block with a bunch of pedestrians to drop us off. Next time, I ordered a taxi not to the neighborhood, but nearby to the embankment, since it's just a stone's throw away from there.

One of the zvargs suggested we go to a restaurante called Vegan Garden, which we did. The joint is fancy, a bunch of dishes to choose from, but there is nothing animal-based, not even milk. When you order a latte, you have to choose from a heap of plant milks: oat, rice, soy, almond, and god knows what else. A latte for dinner, of course, would've been a mistake for me. If it weren't for!

During the discussion over dinner, we shared our daytime escapades. The guys went to the dinosaur museum, and I talked about my failed adventures. Word by word, jokes and banter, when one of the zvargs declared: I'm ready to go to the train graveyard right now! The other replied: easily!

And what do I care - I was planning to go there anyway, even though I didn't make it. Plus, the coffee is boiling in my veins. I tell them: sure, let's go, the best time is exactly now - Saturday night. We didn't drag it out for long, finished our dinner, and the three of us stomped off to the train station. The other two stayed back to rest. We bought tickets at the machine, I think, since things didn't work out with the app.

It was around ten in the evening when our landing party dropped at the Istvántelek station. When everything has already been scouted out, it's not hard to find the way. I suggested a spot where there are thick bushes on the other side of the fence, so we wouldn't be seen while climbing. Unfortunately, this route was so popular that the upper part of the fence separated from the lower one, and is hanging on only by the rebar. It rattles terribly, you can hear it a mile away. Nevertheless, it holds even my weight.

Did our adventure succeed, or did we have to chat with security?
